"Conwy Castle" in #Conwy, was built by King Edward I between 1283 and 1289 during his conquest of Wales. Designed by master mason James of St. George (from Savoy), it formed part of an "Iron Ring" of fortresses with the town's walls to secure English control. The rectangular structure features eight towers, two barbicans, early stone machicolations, and well-preserved royal chambers.
