The town hall of #Pamplona sits in the Old Town's Plaza Consistorial, chosen in 1423 by Charles III of Navarre's Privilege of the Union to unify the feuding medieval burgos and place the seat equidistant from them, ending centuries of rivalry while the bishop held lordship over the city. The current rococo façade, built in 1755 by José Zay y Lorda with Baroque touches like ornate iron balconies and sculptures of Prudence, Justice, Hercules, and Fame, is the only remnant of the 18th-century structure.
