"Schoonheten" is a 17th-century Dutch havezate (manor house) in #Raalte (Overijssel), first mentioned in 1382 but newly built around 1633-1640 by Hendrik Bentinck as a noble residence on a square plan with a moated site. The two-story brick house features a raised central section, shielded roofs with gray tiles, and six chimneys. In the 18th century, two distinctive quarter-circle curved outbuildings (former stables/coach houses) were added by Volkier Rudolph Bentinck, framing a forecourt with views over the moat and landscape, plus a fixed bridge. The house was white-plastered in the 19th century; in 1892 it was enlarged, with three facades replaced by brick. Only the south facade remains white today.
