The former main post office of #Antwerpen, built in 1878 in monumental eclectic classicist style inspired by late-18th-century Brussel palaces, replaced older buildings that had served as college, courthouse and customs house. Extended in 1912-1914 by architect J. Baguet with a corner tower, it features white stone façades, giant-order pilasters, Louis XVI-style tripartite composition and a restored mansard roof with attic balustrade.
