The "Romaanse Huizen" (Romanesque Houses) in #Tournai (Henegouwen), Belgium, are rare 12th-century architectural gems in the Scheldt Valley style. Dating to 1175-1200, these two-story timber-framed structures feature pointed gables, monolithic stone columns, and horizontal sandstone bands framing windows, hallmarks of early Romanesque design. They survived WWII bombings and represent Europe's few surviving secular Romanesque buildings.
