De Gouden Rinck

Description

"De Gouden Rinck", located in #Antwerpen, was the home of Nicolaas Rockox, a mayor and art patron, from 1603. Purchased and renovated by Rockox into a grand patrician house, it features a renaissance facade, later modified in 1715. A 20th-century restoration by Jules Bilmeyer added a second gallery to its courtyard, evoking a 17th-century city garden with plants like olive trees and oleanders, inspired by Rockox’s documented orders.
