The nunnery of the Sint-Janshospitaal in #Brugge (West-Vlaanderen) comprises two uneven brick wings with saddle roofs, bordered by the Reie and a courtyard. Built from 1539, the first wing (1539-1544) along the Reie, originally a refectory and kitchen, features a five-bay facade with rectangular windows in accolade arches and a sandstone plaque. A stair tower connects to the hospital ward. The second wing (1540-1560) extends the first, with 18th- and 19th-century windows. A smaller third wing (early 17th century) and a fourth wing (1685) with late baroque elements, including a stepped gable and sandstone portal, complete the complex. Reie facades have stepped gables and sandstone details; interiors feature 16th-century beams, rococo decor, and Delft tiles.
