Description

The former vinegar factory "De Arabier" in #Middelburg (Zeeland), built in 1900-1901 in Art Nouveau style, replaced the burned-down "De Pijp" factory. It operated as a vinegar factory until around 1953, then as a lemonade factory. The remaining part has a rectangular layout with a basement, ground floor, and attic under a truncated hipped roof. The front facade, made of red brick with a natural stone plinth, features a horseshoe-shaped entrance, green glazed brick bands, and decorations including a relief of an Arab on horseback with the text "Dit is de Arabier".
