The Belfry of Tielt, known as the "Hallentoren", was constructed in 1275 on the market square of Tielt (West-Vlaanderen), Belgium, symbolizing the city's independence. The current renaissance-style structure dates from 1558-1560. Since 1773, it houses a carillon of 36 bells crafted by the renowned Bruges bell founders, the Duméry family.
