Description

The town hall of #Roeselare (West-Vlaanderen), Belgium, showcases a blend of historical and modern architecture. The original section, constructed between 1769 and 1771 in the Louis XV style, features a façade adorned with the coat of arms of Charles Theodore of Bavaria, reflecting Roeselare's historical ties to the Lordship of Wijnendale. In 1924, a modern wing was added, incorporating a belfry that, alongside the Saint Michael's Church, defines the city's skyline. This belfry has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999.
