"Kasteel Genenbroek", near #Achel (Limburg), Belgium, began as a 15th-century farm and hunting lodge. It passed through several noble families and was expanded around 1758 by the De Hubens family. A southern wing was added circa 1791. In 1852, it was bought by Count de Theux de Meylandt. His son-in-law transformed it (1882-1885) into its current neo-Flemish renaissance style, adding a tower, new façades, and outbuildings.
