The town hall of #Gent (Oost-Vlaanderen) is a four-sided complex. Its main wings are the late gothic "Schepenhuis van de Keure" (1519-1539), designed by Rombout II Keldermans and Dominicus de Waeghemaekere, and the renaissance-style "Schepenhuis van Gedele" (1595-1618), featuring classical columns inspired by Italian palazzi. The building includes 51 rooms, such as the Pacificatiezaal, where the 1576 Pacification of Ghent was signed. The oldest part is a cellar dating before 1100.
