Description

The town hall of #Zutphen (Gelderland) has sections from various periods. The southern wing dates to the early 15th century and was externally modernized in 1729 with plaster and a cornice on consoles. In 1716, a deputies' chamber with projecting wings and a richly decorated sandstone portico was added on the church side. Interior features include a 1639 stucco ceiling by Jan van Craeckenborch in the council chamber, an 18th-century carved staircase, a 17th-century carved door, and Louis XV-style woodwork in adjoining rooms.
