"Château de Chenonceau" in #Chenonceaux is a renaissance castle spanning the Cher River. Built 1514-1522 by Thomas Bohier on old mill foundations, it blends late gothic and early renaissance styles with elegant white stone façades, turrets, and symmetry. In 1556-1559, architect Philibert de l'Orme added the iconic five-arched bridge; Jean Bullant built the grand gallery atop it.
