Schloss Sigmaringen

Description

"Schloss Sigmaringen", perched on a 35m cliff above the Danube in #Sigmaringen, began as a medieval fortress around the 11th century (first mentioned ~1077). Owned by the Hohenzollern family since the 16th century, it served as their princely seat. After a major fire in 1893, it was rebuilt in neo-gothic style (with renaissance & romantic elements).
