The town hall of #Liberec, built between 1888-1893 in neo-renaissance style with transalpine renaissance elements, was designed by Viennese architect Franz Neumann. It replaced an earlier Renaissance town hall from 1599-1603. The grand building, with its three towers and gothic-cathedral-like silhouette, echoes Vienna's famous Rathaus. Its richly decorated façade features integrated artwork, rare stained glass, and a sculptural relief by Theodor Friedl above the portal depicting the old and new halls with a central female figure symbolizing the city.
