Description

"Paleis Lange Voorhout" is a former royal city palace on Lange Voorhout in #DenHaag (Zuid-Holland), built in 1760-1764 by architect Pieter de Swart in Louis XV style, featuring a natural stone facade and grand interiors. Originally for Anthony Patras, it passed to the Hope family, hosted Napoleon in 1811, and was bought by King Willem II in 1845. It served as winter residence for Queens Emma and Wilhelmina, and working palace for Juliana and Beatrix until 1984.
