The "Osterriethhuis", a rococo mansion in #Antwerpen, originated as a 16th-century residence built by Josse Draeck. Enhanced in the 17th century by Jacomo Antonio Carenna, who added a 1677 garden pavilion, it was inherited in 1745 by dowager Régine Thérèse van Susteren-du Bois. She commissioned Jan Pieter van Baurscheit de Jonge to remodel it into its current rococo form in 1749-1750. Its striking façade features a symmetrical seven-bay central risalit in blue hardstone, with colossal pilasters, rocaille ornaments, a ornate portal flanked by composite columns supporting a balcony, and a lavish crest with oeil-de-boeuf and shell motifs in white stone.
