Description

The former private residence of #Brussel architect Pierre Victor Jamaer, one of his rare personal projects (built in 1874), built in a Flemish neo-renaissance/chalet style. The house features a basement, four floors, three bays under a gabled roof, with a pointed gable of brick and stone richly adorned with fine woodwork. Highlights include horizontal banding, a central vertical bay window on lion consoles, stained-glass windows, an ornate wooden door with fanlight, and an openwork top designed as a loggia with timber framing, balustrade, vases and obelisks (originally with a weather vane.
