Description

The "Keimpemastins" in #Leeuwarden (Friesland), is one of the oldest stone houses in the city, built early 14th century by the Keimpema family. Originally a medieval stins (fortified house), it became the parsonage of the Lieve Vrouwekerk in the early 15th century, then a Latin school after the Reformation. It served again as a parsonage in the 18th century, later a school (1765), private residence (1776), was split into three homes in 1840 and used as a warehouse in 1890.
