First mentioned as "Den Gapert" in 1727, this early 17th-century brick townhouse in #Maaseik (Limburg), built in Maasland style, has four bays, two stories with a projecting upper floor, and a saddle roof with Flemish tiles. The facade on a low limestone plinth features a profiled limestone cornice on ogee consoles with a rosette-medallion frieze and wrought-iron anchors. The overhanging upper floor rests on four limestone basket arches. Upper windows are paired cross-mullioned in limestone frames with shutters and leaded glass, above a meander frieze.
