A building in #Amsterdam (Noord-Holland) that was originally a shop/department store. Built 1891-1892 in eclectic style by architect Eduard Cuypers, it has 4 levels (ground floor, mezzanine, two floors under a roof) on a square plan. It replaced three old warehouses housing a steam timber factory that burned in 1891. Later, the Holland-Africa Line (VNS) was housed there.
