Description

The "Stadsgehoorzaal" in #Kampen (Overijssel), designed by Vidal de St. Germain in 1891, is an elongated in red machine-made brick on plastered plinth, under composite hipped roof with red Dutch tiles. South/west slopes have large dormer with double round-arch windows flanked by four small round dormers.Symmetrical facade with plastered bands. Central 2-story entrance bay ends in pediment with sgraffito tympanum. Ground floor: plastered pilasters, false joints, double/single doors with round-arch fanlights in stucco frames, cartouches above. Mezzanine windows. Upper floor: three round-arch windows in stucco entablature. Left: 2 bays; right: 1 bay, each with double pilasters, fantasy capitals, two windows per bay. Attic on corbelled cornice with consoles and cartouches. Left facade mirrors front bay.
