The "Bussemakerhuis", a monument in #Borne (Overijssel), was built in 1655 as a residence and trading house. In 1779, textile merchant Jan Bussemaker and his wife Trijntje Hulshoff renovated it into its current form. Bussemaker supplied Twente's home weavers with yarn and sold their linen in Holland, providing income for the local poor alongside textile manufacturer Salomon Jacob Spanjaard.
