The "Burgerweeshuis", a historic building in #Aardenburg (Zeeland), features a double-stepped gable with stone decorations from 1631. Initially an almshouse, it became an orphanage named "Meiboom" in 1674. Financial struggles led to multiple closures, with the orphanage permanently closing in 1929.
