"Kasteel Bossenstein" is a moated castle near #Broechem (Antwerpen), Belgium, first mentioned in 1346. Named after Joannes de Busco, it features a historic donjon and later-added wings. A brick bridge with pointed and basket arches spans the moat, and a central courtyard is surrounded by galleries. The castle changed ownership multiple times, notably held by the Van Berghem family in the Middle Ages. It stood empty around 1900, was damaged in World War I, and later restored. The east wing dates to the late 15th/early 16th century, with other wings and a gallery added in 1660. Restored to its 17th-18th century style, it now serves as a residence, with original materials preserved.
