Huis metten Thoren

Description

"Huis metten Thoren" ("House with the Tower) is the most significant civic residence in #Turnhout (Antwerpen), built around the mid-16th century. Owned by prominent families like van den Nieuwenhuysen, van der Cluysen, and Lombaerts, it was first mentioned in 1570. The building, constructed on the foundations of three smaller houses, features a 16th-century core with a tower, 18th-century additions, and a 19th-century iron gate. The facade was altered in 1889.
