The "Maria Magdalenakerk" in #Goes originated from a 12th-century parish church. The current late-gothic cruciform basilica began construction in 1423, with major work from ~1470, aiming for a three-aisle hall church. It largely burned in 1618 but was rebuilt, including the gothic nave (1619-1621). A rare Zeeland cruciform type, it transitioned to Protestant use in 1578.
