Description

The "Sint-Michaëlskerk" in #Thorn is a gothic cross-basilica with romanesque westwork elements, originating from the 10th-century abbey foundation (c. 975). Built in stages over 450 years, it was largely completed by the late 15th century. The interior features rich Baroque style (with imposing high altar and marble sculptures), while 19th-century restorations by Pierre Cuypers added gothic revival exterior details, including the iconic tower.
