Description

The "Zuidkasteel" is an eclectic corner complex in #Antwerpen, designed by François Smet in 1882. The building features four stories under a mansard roof, with a striking corner tower topped by a high slate roof and iron balustrade. The main facade showcases a cartouche with Antwerpen's coat of arms, flanked by broken pediments and pilasters. The plastered, whitewashed facades are adorned with heavy rustication, panels, and broad cornices, while the ground floor has a rusticated base with arched door-windows and ornate original joinery.
