"Huis De Vicq", a canal palace in #Amsterdam (Noord-Holland), was built in 1670. Designed for François de Vicq, it features a Corinthian pilaster facade and a pediment in the manner of Dutch Classicism. In 1730, Dirk van Lennep replaced the pediment with a sculpted balustrade and added a Louis XIV-style staircase with marble and oak, plus Jacob de Wit's ceiling paintings. A garden pavilion with Apollo and Diana statues was also built.
