A guildhouse known as "Le Renard" ("The Fox"), located at Grand‑Place 7 in Brussels. It was originally acquired in the first half of the 15th century by the Merchants' Guild, which had been founded in 1382. Around 1645, the structure was rebuilt in stone, replacing an earlier version. The 1695 bombardment destroyed all but the ground floor, and a full reconstruction was completed in 1699. The facade featured sculptures by notable baroque sculptors Marcus De Vos, Jan Van Delen, and Cornelis Van Nerven. A restoration in 1769-70 modified some ornamental elements, and again in 1883-84 under architect Pierre‑Victor Jamaer, who renewed the gable, pilasters, woodwork, and stone sculptures, replacing weathered elements with D'Euville stone.
