Oude Weeshuis

Description

The "Oude Weeshuis" in #Enkhuizen (Noord-Holland), is a 17th-century former orphanage. Built in 1616 in Dutch renaissance style, it features a decorative step gable with brick and natural stone, a richly ornamented entrance, and a 1616 facade stone depicting an orphanage scene. Originally under Catholic auspices from 1551, it became Reformed around 1572.
