De Zalm

Description

"De Zalm", located in #Mechelen (Antwerpen), is a former guild hall of the fishermen's guild, built between 1530-1535 on the site of an earlier structure called Santvliet. Its early-renaissance facade, designed by Jan van Werchtere, originally featured a salmon in half-relief, a lion's head, and ornate motifs; these were later replaced with iron copies in the 19th century.
