Volkshuis Ons Huis

Description

"Ons Huis," a socialist workers' association building, was designed by F. Dierkens in eclectic style around 1900 and partially rebuilt after a fire. Located on the site of the demolished "Utenhovesteen" at Vrijdagmarkt, it features a monumental stone facade, including pilasters, round-arched windows, and a balustrade. The left wing has three bays and floors, with classical-inspired details and ironwork. The right wing includes a large glass wall from later modifications.
