The "KIT-gebouw" in #Amsterdam (Noord-Holland) is a monumental structure built between 1915 and 1926 to house the Colonial Institute. The complex was designed by architects Johannes and J.A.G. van Nieukerken and showcases a mix of neo-renaissance and Amsterdam School styles, with ornate brickwork, sculptural details, and symbolic decorations referring to Dutch colonial history. The building features towers, arched windows, and elaborate interior woodwork.
