The "Hofje van Noblet" is a courtyard in #Haarlem (Noord-Holland), Netherlands, established in 1761 through the legacy of Leonard Noblet and his sisters, Sara and Geertruida, who had no direct heirs. The complex was constructed in the garden of the family's residence, "Haerlem en Spaargesigt," purchased by their father, Elezar Noblet, in 1737. Originally comprising 20 houses, ten for women from Haarlem on the east side and ten for women from Amsterdam on the west side, it accommodated single women aged at least 50 who were members of the Dutch Reformed Church.
