"Kasteel van Rijkel", located in #Rijkel (Limburg), Belgium, is a moated castle that originated as a 16th-century manor farm. It was first mentioned in 1541 when the lordship of Rijkel was owned by the Bolle van Rijkel family. In the late 16th century, the eastern part of the castle was built, followed by 17th-century expansions that formed its current U-shaped structure. The De Hinnisdael family, who acquired the castle in the 17th century, added the north and west wings. In the 18th century, the castle underwent significant renovations. It is surrounded by an 8-hectare orchard.
